Lancaster Recycling:  The Lancaster Recycling Center on Center Bridge Road is now accepting an expanded amount of recyclable items on Saturdays, from 10 a.m. to noon.  In addition to glass bottles and jars and metal cans, foil and trays the center will now accept, for a fee, televisions stereos and speakers, VCRs, DVDs, microwaves, gas grill tanks, computer items, freon and other appliances and tires.  Call 978-537-0914 for more information.

This special will be continuing because of the tremendous response.   If you have never had your air ducts cleaned, this is the time to do it.  Everyone that has taken advantage of this special is so pleased.  Some have found the some room are cold or hot depending on the time of year are that way because of disconnected vents.  Many construction items have been found sitting in these vents.

Air duct cleaning services can cost up to $1000 depending on services offered, the size of the system to be cleaned, system accessibility, climatic region and level of contamination.  If someone in your household suffers from allergies or unexplained symptoms or illnesses the air ducts could be contributing to this problem.

• Furnaces will need to be shut off while this process is being done.

• We will not be responsible for any furnace issues.

• A video will be supplied to you showing the conditions of the vents. (Ask Tony)

• Metal vents in ceiling, on walls or floors will be removed, cleaned, painted if necessary and replaced (washing will remove all cooking oil film, nicotine film and other duct-collecting substances).

• Ceiling dirt will be unit owner’s responsibility.

• Bathroom fans and Dryer vent cleaning will also be offered, but are not included in the price of duct cleaning.

• With this equipment they deep clean the source of the air supply including (when applicable) the blower, squirrel cage, coils, condensation pan and return air supply.

• The air ducts are then brush vacuumed clean with their exclusive, patented technology system..  The “Rotobrush” system removes the contaminants that circulate through the air duct and vents with an environmentally safe sanitizer commonly used in hospitals and nursing homes, leaving behind a fresh scent.

• You will be supplied with a video copy of the work done.

 The price for this service will be $115.00 for 7 ducts plus $20.00 for each additional duct.  Deodorizing is free of charge.
